Armature Studio is located in Austin, Texas and was founded by the key developers of the Metroid Prime franchise. We aim to keep the creative flexibility of a small independent studio while partnering with publishers to create compelling, high end games.

Character Artist
Working closely with the Art Director, the Character Artist will be primarily responsible for creating high quality character models and textures for our upcoming projects.
Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of one of the following modeling applications: Maya or 3D Studio Max
- Expert knowledge on how to properly build and prepare a character model for animation
- Very strong texturing skills as well as knowledge in using Zbrush or similar software
- Ability to be receptive to art direction and to perform well within a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
- Ability to work within a highly dynamic environment where team members typically have multiple responsibilities

Senior Game Designer
Working closely with the Game Director, the Senior Designer will be responsible for creating and building gameplay systems and scenarios for our upcoming projects. This role will also include managing and directing other designers.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of industry experience working as a Game Designer with at least 1 shipped AAA title
- Proficient with using editors for creating game scripting, either visual based or LUA
- Experience with creating design-centric level layouts using Maya or similar software
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively analyze and give direction for improving submitted gameplay assets
- Ability to work within a highly dynamic environment where team members typically have multiple responsibilities
- Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
